| Why do you want to get married? | My thoughts about marriage according to Islamic traditions I believe marriage in Islam is a beautiful and meaningful part of life. It is not just a social arrangement but a spiritual partnership where two people support each other in faith and in everyday life. The Qur’an says that God created spouses so that we may find peace and comfort in them and placed love and mercy between our hearts (Qur’an 30:21). To me, this shows that marriage is about more than rules—it’s about compassion, respect, and working together. I like how Islam emphasizes fairness and kindness in marriage. Both husband and wife have rights and responsibilities, and neither is superior to the other. It’s a relationship built on trust and understanding. I also appreciate that Islam encourages choosing a partner based on good character and faith, not just looks or wealth. Personally, I think this makes marriage feel like a partnership where both people help each other grow and stay close to God. It’s not just about love but also about building a stable family and a strong community. |
